Congratulations to John German who raised over £300.00 for BBC Children in Need on Friday 20th November 2009 at their Burton on Trent, Uttoxeter and Lichfield branches by successfully Baking Cakes.

 

All staff members baked a cake and slices were sold to raise money for Children in Need.

 

Simon Parkes, Lettings Manager at Burton upon Trent says, “We really enjoyed taking part in Children in Need. It was fun and the money we raised will help Children in Need to fund future projects for children and young people.

 

BBC Children in Need is able to make grants to voluntary projects,  community groups and registered charities that will offer practical and lasting support to children and young people:

  • Experiencing poverty, deprivation or homelessness
  • Suffering from illness, abuse, distress or neglect
  • With learning, sensory or physical disabilities
  • With behavioural and psychological disorders

 

BBC Children in Need’s mission is to make a positive change to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK. Their vision is a society where each and every child and young person is supported to realise their potential. In 2008, BBC Children in Need raised over £37 million to make a real difference to children’s lives.
