Sales Director
Time at John German? I have worked at John German since 2004, working my way through the ranks from part time Sales Negotiator to Sales Director.
Favourite part of your job? My passion for property came prior to me working at John German when I successfully renovated and sold properties for 10 years. I was very keen to take the next step by helping people sell their homes and there was only one agent I wanted to work for…JG!
Top tip for buyer or seller? Anyone putting their home onto the market declutter as much as possible.
What would be your dream home? Hard to choose but at the moment probably a detached minimalistic house by the coast with as much glass as possible.
Sales Director
Time at John German? I have been with JG since 1999.
Favourite part of your job? Seeing lots of different properties from country houses to Victorian terraces.
What would be your dream home? A contemporary house in North Cornwall with immediate access to the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

Where is your favourite place in Lichfield? One of my favourite places in Lichfield is the old market place where the bustling atmosphere and colourful stalls are a lively meeting place for loyal traders and bargain-loving locals – it’s just not the same when shopping on Amazon!

Senior Sales Negotiator
I have been in the industry since 2017, originally having a lettings background but fell into the lucky hands of JG and have now moved across to sales.
Favourite part of your job?
My favourite part of the job is working with new people daily and helping them find their dream home. It is so rewarding and always nice to build new relationships with our vendors and purchasers.
Top tip for buyer or seller?
My top tip for buyers and sellers is to be patient. The process of purchasing or selling is not something that happens overnight. Patience is certainly the key. Prepare yourself for the process by researching what goes into buying and selling a property.
What would be your dream home?
A contemporary, modern house with an open plan aspect.

The best part of your job? Talking to clients and become familiar with what they are looking for, so I can fully assist with their next move.
Top tip for seller or buyer? Speak to a financial advisor and come financially ready, so you are aware of your affordability, before beginning your search.
Dream home? My dream home is a rural cottage, with a large garden and beautiful scenic views.

Favourite part of your job? Negotiating sales and finding people their forever homes.
Top tip for selling or buying a property? Clean and declutter your property before viewings.
What would be your dream home? A self-build, very modern with lots of glass and sea views.
Lettings Manager

Experience: I started my career as a Lettings Negotiator for another company in 2018. Since then, I’ve been promoted twice and am now a Lettings Manager for John German.
Favourite part of your job? The favourite part of my job is meeting new people and helping them with their property search or finding great tenants.
Top tip for tenant or landlord? My top tip to landlords would be to trust the process. When you choose the right agent, they will ensure you receive the best service and are looked after throughout with as little to worry about as possible.
What would be your dream home? My dream home would be a detached Georgian or Edwardian, in a semi-rural location. It would be modern and light internally but have the features that make it original not to lose any character.
Legal Administration Manager
becky.scargill@johngerman.co.uk
Time at John German? I joined John German Estate Agents in 2011 and have worked for both the Lettings and Sales departments.
The best part of your job? It’s a fast-paced job which provides me with a great feeling of accomplishment when I find the perfect tenant for a landlord. Another aspect of the job I enjoy is building great relationships with our landlords and tenants. It feels good when they come back to us time and time again to re-let their properties or when they are looking for a new home.
What would be your dream home? My dream home would be a period property with plenty of old features and open fires, with somewhere to put a very big Christmas tree.

Time at John German? I worked at the Lichfield branch back in 2005 and now I work alongside the team in Stafford.
Favourite part of the job? People and houses are infinitely different, and I like the variety of both which each day brings.
Top tip for buyer or seller? I believe good natural light is one of the most important qualities in a home, so I would recommend finding the compass app on your phone and using it during your viewings to see what time of day the sunlight will be in each room. When selling it is also useful for us to know which way your property faces so that the front elevation can be photographed at the right time of day to get the best image possible.
What would be your dream home? An eco lodge by a lake, with the living areas facing Southwest.
Accompanied Viewing Representative
What is your experience? I’ve had quite a varied career starting off in clerical/secretarial. I’ve also worked as a pharmacy technician for some time, moved over to healthcare with the elderly and mentally ill, which was very rewarding. From there I worked in my local hospice in palliative care. More recently I worked in my local secondary school organising and setting up for the exams.
The best part of your job? Being a part of someone’s new chapter and watching their faces when they find that special place.
Top tip for buyer or seller? I think top tip for seller is to keep the place clutter free and fresh and clean, where possible. Top tip for buyer would be keep an open mind, have vision and don’t get disappointed if things don’t go to plan. I’m a great believer in ‘things do happen for a reason’.
Dream Home: It has to be a cottage by the sea where I can walk my dogs everyday and have my ever extending family round as often as possible.
