Sales Director
Time at John German? I have worked at John German since 2004, working my way through the ranks from part time Sales Negotiator to Sales Director.
Favourite part of your job? My passion for property came prior to me working at John German when I successfully renovated and sold properties for 10 years. I was very keen to take the next step by helping people sell their homes and there was only one agent I wanted to work for…JG!
Top tip for buyer or seller? Anyone putting their home onto the market declutter as much as possible.
What would be your dream home? Hard to choose but at the moment probably a detached minimalistic house by the coast with as much glass as possible.
Sales Director
Time at John German? I have been with JG since 1999.
Favourite part of your job? Seeing lots of different properties from country houses to Victorian terraces.
What would be your dream home? A contemporary house in North Cornwall with immediate access to the beach and Atlantic Ocean.

Time at John German? I started at John German in 2015.
Best part of your job? Meeting such a wide and varied range of people with the shared goal of moving home.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Never underestimate the importance of good property presentation and first impressions.
Where is your favourite place in Lichfield? One of my favourite places in Lichfield is the old market place where the bustling atmosphere and colourful stalls are a lively meeting place for loyal traders and bargain-loving locals – it’s just not the same when shopping on Amazon!
Senior Sales Negotiator
matilda.stowe@johngerman.co.uk
Experience: I joined John German after recently completing my degree in Land Surveying. After countless nights of working on railway tracks and standing in muddy fields, my fascination for the property market grew. I then headed off to one of the top Estate Agents in the West Midlands to further my career.
Favourite part of your job? A big part of my job is showing potential purchasers their dream homes and connecting with people from all aspects of life. It is a fantastic job as I never know what the day will bring from one day to the next.
Top tip for buyer or seller? With John German having 181 years of experience, I already understand the knowledge and expertise we are bringing to the market. My top tip for any person selling their property is to have John German come out to their property and sell their home.
What would be your dream home? My dream home is a character property surrounded by land. Since a young girl, I have grown up with horses, chickens, cats, and dogs. However, I would adore having a property that I can fill with all sorts of animals, especially goats!!
Senior Sales Negotiator
What is your experience? I started my career in the estate agent industry as an apprentice lettings negotiator when I was 19.
The best part of your job? My favourite part about my job is meeting new people each day and finding them the property of their dreams.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Whether you are selling or buying, the best advice is to keep an open mind and listen to your estate agent.
Dream Home: My dream home would be a Georgian country home with a large garden that had a pond. Somewhere for me to relax without interruption.
Sales Negotiator
What is your experience? I am new to the sector so I don’t actually have any formal Estate Agent experience. However, I would say that with my previous roles centring around customer service, mediation, care and empathy, have given me the tools to succeed.
The best part of your job? My favourite part of my job getting to form relationships with vendors and buyers, as such being able to tailor our service to each individual clients needs and personality.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Being new to the industry myself, my top tip would be to listen to your Estate Agent as they have such a wealth of experience having done this day in day out. Listening to my colleagues since starting is the reason I have been able to gain knowledge in a short period of time.
Dream Home: My dream home would be a character property, close to my family, with a minimum of 5 acres to be able to develop a sustainable lifestyle. Space to collect and farm a variety of animals, a big Victorian greenhouse that can double as a summer evening supper venue and lots of flowers everywhere, always.

It feels good when they come back to us time and time again to re-let their properties or when they are looking for a new home.
What would be your dream home? My dream home would be a period property with plenty of old features and open fires, with somewhere to put a very big Christmas tree.

Tell us about your experience… My wife and I have bought and sold quite a number of properties over the years including a complete new build where we bought a plot of land and later sold the house we developed on it and, on another occasion, acquired three semi- derelict barns which we progressively sold, after their re-development.
Top tip for buyer or seller? Always leave something in it for the other party. We have two ears and one mouth and I was always taught to use them in that proportion!
What would be your dream home? I enjoy privacy and making the most of good, natural light. Proximity to relevant facilities is important and, possibly, access to public transport.
